It’s FALL, y’all! Don’t you love Fall?! We do. Not only do we love it because it’s a great time to sip hot chocolate and wear sweaters, but we also love it because it’s a great time to talk real estate. Here are the 3 Things You Need To Know for the month of October 2016.
#1. BHURDinUtah Annual Pumpkin Patch Party
It’s going to be a PARTY, a PUMPKIN PATCH PARTY, this Friday, October 7th from 4:30pm-7:00pm, at Pumpkin Point Farms 11900S and 3600W in Riverton, Utah. This is one of two client events we host each year to let you know how much we appreciate our amazing clients! So come and enjoy doughnuts, a corn maze, tractor rides, and pick out your own pumpkin. There’ll even be special prizes for those who wear their Halloween costumes! We’re also collecting canned food items that night to donate to our local food bank. Bring your family and friends and introduce us to them! Can’t wait to see everyone! And if you haven’t yet, please RSVP by clicking HERE.
#2. Home Tips for Fall
The weather is changing! Which means your home could use a little TLC in order to get it through the winter months. Here are some easy tips that will help you save money and remain cozy while the weather turns chilly.
Undo your hose bib. During cold snaps, if a hose is left connected, ice can form and pressure can build up in the water lines inside your home. If this occurs, a water line can leak or a break could occur and cause severe damage to the home.
Fertilize your grass. Fertilizing in the fall helps feed the roots to keep grass strong during the winter.
Make sure your sprinkler lines are drained. Water left in the pipes of your irrigation system can freeze over winter, causing damage to the entire system.
Clear your rain gutters. Making sure water can flow freely through your gutters can help prevent ice dams from forming later in the season.
The time to act is now! Protecting your home by completing these simple winterizing tasks will save you a whole lot of money and a whole lot of headache.
#3. Winter has some of the BEST DEALS
One of the best kept secrets in real estate is the 4th quarter! It’s true, the housing market inventory dips during winter because sellers don’t want the hassle of trying to sell during the holidays. But that can work to the buyers’ advantage as well. Sellers who do list their homes during the winter months are usually highly motivated! And while there might not be as many listings, there also aren’t as many buyers for competition. So if you didn’t secure the home of your dreams this summer, winter might just be your season!
